One of the most revealing scriptures in the Bible that literally defines who and what we are to become in our journey with Jesus is found in 1 John chapter 4. “1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. (Our love is not based on our standards, but from His) 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us.
In these scriptures the Apostle John deals with 2 things: Love & Fear. One of the greatest things about love is this: “Perfect Love casts out ALL FEAR” and it is equally important to know that fear has torment. So God gives us a love that produces security in all things. (This is vital to remember) Romans 12: 9 “Let love be without dissimulation.” (hypocrisy). The Apostle also wrote this above in verse 2; Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, be transformed by the renewing of your mind”. So, this tells me that to experience love on a heavenly dimension we must first renew our mind and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal what love is. The Bible says, “God is love” not “Love is God”; and this is important to realize as we pursue our relationships with God as well as those on earth. It is God and not us that sets the standards for what is love and how love operates.
One of the most powerful things I have discovered is that Love or the ability to love is connected to one’s identity and without knowing who we are it becomes difficult if not impossible to maintain healthy loving relationships with both God and man. In Luke 9:29 as Jesus prayed His countenance changed and His raiment glistened; Moses and Elijah “appeared in Glory” with Him. It is important to remember that the Transformation is a picture of what the renewed mind of every believer looks like and that Jesus is a prototype of a Glorious people. God’s thought was this: One Son to produce many. Hebrews 2:10. God knew if we could, “SEE THE KINGDOM” (Luke 9:27) we would desire it and pursue it. Renewing our Mind and Awakening to the knowledge of “SONS of GOD” causes us to pursue the Kingdom with passion and power like Jesus did.
When we begin to realize this who put away “faith hunts” and start operating as Sons of God fully vested with the power and authority of the Kingdom we are manifesting. Fear leaves us as we pursue after Him and each encounter transforms and matures us into the Sons that the earth is desiring to see. Earlier in scripture Peter and John as well as the other disciples couldn’t cast a devil out of a boy and were scolded by Jesus for their inability to operate in the Kingdom that He had lovingly brought them into, only to later find them walking to Church and seeing a lame man on the side of the road and manifesting “what was inside of them” to raise the man straight on his feet. These 2 things tell me something; 1. You only operate in the power of the Kingdom you realize 2. Manifesting that Kingdom is more about identity than increasing faith. And please let me clarify. It takes faith to please God and to operate in this Kingdom; but Jesus said the smallest faith in the Kingdom moves mountains here on the earth. We strive to create great faith without truly embracing who and what God says we are. I believe a healthy Identity will create great faith! We don’t need to ask for more faith: we need to renew our mind and acknowledge what has already been given and operate in it. Here is scripture; Paul prayed “that the communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” Phm. 1:6
Prayer; I decree that all fear is broken off your life and destroyed in Jesus name! Fear that manifests as bashfulness, hurt, and anger be dealt with now in Jesus name. I ask that the Holy Spirit “shed the love of God in your heart” as He reveals the person God created you to be. I break off every lie that you have believed and ask that your Kingdom Identity manifest in Jesus Name; freeing you from the lies of fear. Be healed, revealed and transformed in Jesus Name.
